Abstract

Menstruation is something that naturally occurs in women. Menstruation is the discharge of blood from the uterus that occurs every month, a sign that the female reproductive organs are mature. Disturbances in the menstrual cycle are caused by several factors such as stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycle disorders in Sikes Bataraguru Soroaka female students. Research using correlation with cross sectional approach. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 51 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire, using the Spearma Test. This study showed that the stress levels of Batara Guru Soroaka female students were mostly normal, namely 37 female students (72.5%). From the Spearman test, it was found that p=value 0.019 (<0.05) found a relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycle disorders in Batara Guru Soroaka female students, r = 0.328 indicating that the level of correlation strength in stress levels and menstrual cycles in Batara Guru Soroaka female students is a correlation enough. And the positive relationship obtained from the correlation coefficient shows that there is a one-way relationship, which means that the higher the stress number, the irregular menstrual cycle. From this study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycle disorders. It is recommended that Stikes female students pay more attention to their menstrual cycle and the disturbances and causes that occur in their cycle when they have menstrual problems
