Hubungan Antara Karakteristik Anak Usia Sekolah Dengan Kejadian Bullying Di SDN 125 Maramba Luwu Timur
Abstract
Social issues often highlight children as victims in the media, with bullying being one of the main problems, this study aims to find out the relationship between the characteristics of school-age children and the incidence of bullying at SDN 125 Maramba.
This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 269 students of SDN 125 Maramba, with a sample of 73 respondents selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation and closed questionnaires, then analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis.
Based on the results of the univariate analysis test showing that as many as 76.7% of the total sample had gangs/groups, the distribution of the frequency of bullying incidents in children at SDN 125 Maramba showed that 19.2% experienced low bullying incidence , 47.9% moderate, and 32.9% high from a total sample of 73 respondents.
Based on the results of the bivariate test, it was explained that there was a relationship between the age of the child and the incidence of bullying at SDN 125 Maramba, from the results of the Chi-Square statistical test produced a p-value of 0.466, indicating that there was no significant relationship between the age of the child and the incidence of bullying at SDN 125 Maramba. The relationship between children's gender and bullying incidence at SDN 125 Maramba showed that the p-value was 0.037, indicating a significant relationship between children's gender and the incidence of bullying. The relationship between gang/group ownership and bullying incidence at SDN 125 Maramba showed that the p-value was very significant at 0.000, indicating a strong relationship between gang/group ownership and bullying incidence rate.
