EFEKTIVITAS DIAPHRAGM BREATHING EXERCISE TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III DI RSUD MOROWALI KABUPATEN MOROWALITAHUN 2023
Abstract
Anxiety is one of the emotional disorders in pregnant women that commonly occurs in the third trimester. Anxiety has the potential to increase 1.7 times the delivery by Sectio Caesarea. As many as 373,000,000 (28.7%) anxiety occurs in pregnant women before the delivery process (Mandagi, 2013). Anxiety can affect the psychological development of the mother and the physical and psychological growth of the baby in the womb and can increase the risk of postpartum depression. One of the non-pharmacological treatments that can overcome anxiety in pregnant women is Diaphragm Breathing Exercise. This study aims to determine the Effectiveness of Diaphragm Breathing Exercise on the Anxiety Level of Pregnant Women in the Third Trimester at Morowali Hospital in 2023.
This study used a pre-experimental method with a one group pre-test post-test design. The sample of this study consisted of primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester, namely 38 respondents, who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection using the Fraq-R2 questionnaire instrument by answering 11 questions related to the anxiety felt by the respondents. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p-value <0.05), meaning that there is an effect of providing Diaphragm Breathing Exercise intervention on the anxiety of pregnant women in the third trimester. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of providing Diaphragm Breathing Exercise intervention on the anxiety of pregnant women in the third trimester at Morowali Hospital in 2023
